Pig Farming profitability through Feeding

Are you not making a profit with your piggery? This is probably why:

Every day you eat a certain amount of food. If you have not been gaining weight then THAT AMOUNT OF FOOD IS YOUR MAINTENANCE FOOD LEVEL

Now if you add a big scoop of rice to that every day, you will start to gain weight……. This is food used for GROWTH.

About 30% (when fed Ad Lib) of every day's feed is used for maintenance (you get nothing sellable from it) SO EVERY DAY THAT YOU HAVE TO FEED THEM UP TO SLAUGHTER WEIGHT YOU LOSE 30% OF THE FEED. So feeding them 69 days more (100-31 days) you lose 30% of the feed for 69 EXTRA days…
